Dear Parents of 2nd grade students:

Auditions have been held and I’m sure some of you already have heard what part your child has been given. If you haven’t, the assignments are on the reverse side of this letter.

Your child's lines (if they have any) have been sent home.  Lines need to be memorized by October 28th

Now we can start concentrating on costumes!  I know it seems early, but the more we do now, the less we have to do later. As always I don’t expect you to go out and buy what is needed.  I believe that if we work together:  some bringing for others to use and such, that we will be able to find what is needed.  Please look over the list and see what you have. I want all children to bring their costumes BY Nov. 2nd, so that if some are still looking for costumes, we will have time to locate one before the program.

PLEASE REMEMBER THE STAGE LIGHTS ARE HOT!!!

SHORT SLEEVES ARE BEST!

Sailors:  navy pants/shorts/skirts, white shirts and white socks (shoes too if you have them). I HAVE HATS

Locomotive Engineers:  overalls or blue jeans, white shirts and red bandanas.  I HAVE HATS

Plumbers:  overalls or jeans with any color t-shirt.  Any cap!

Cowboys and girls: Hats/vests/chaps—all ok! Let's stay away from BOOTS....THEY CLUNK ON THE STAGE...SORRY :(

Movie Stars:  Girls:  formal dress, gloves, feather boas and sunglasses. Boys:  top hats (if you have them), sunglasses, formal attire (suits or tuxes, ties a must)

Bakers:  Aprons and if you have them BAKER HATS!

Other Characters:  I’m open to almost anything, just send me an email with your idea for your little star.  Please keep the outfit specific with your child’s occupation.

If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to email me: [email protected]

Thanks for your time! I'm excited for this show!
