Instrument Family Unit:
To complete our unit, students researched one family of instruments. Some of the questions included: What is unique about this family? Which instrument is my favorite? How are they played? and such.  Feel free to stop by and look at the students' posters in my hallway until Winter Break!

Dear parents of 3rd graders:

Again, I must emphasize how wonderfully talented your children are! I didn't tell them, but their musical was really a 4th grade level show!

I have MORE wonderful news!  The Pride of the Prairie Orchestra would like US to sing with them at their December Concert!  This is an amazing opportunity for the students to see a real, live orchestra AND get to sing along with it!  We will start rehearsing the music during  music class after Halloween, but I wanted to get the information to you as soon as possible!

Please mark your calendars for the following events:

December 7th from 7:00-7:45, we will rehearse with them in the Frahm Theater-Colby Community College

December 13th at 1 pm, we will rehearse for right before the concert in the Frahm Theater-Colby Community College

December 13th at 3:30 pm, they will perform for the community in the Frahm Theater-Colby Community College

As each event gets closer, I will send reminders.  Please just make a note of the concert and rehearsal dates/times.

Thank you for supporting music!
